Reaching homeostasis puts your body at 100% health, its optimal state, a perfect balance in physical, mental and emotional health. What Is The Endocannabinoid System?
The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a biological cell-signaling system responsible for regulating and balancing the body to help it reach Homeostasis. The ECS is made up of Endocannabinoids, which are naturally produced by the body, receptors, and enzymes to break down the endocannabinoids once they’ve finished the job.
Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of over 100 cannabinoids that can be found in hemp. The ECS, that all mammals have, processes all cannabinoids that enter the body. CBD stimulates the ECS which helps it to regulate body actions like anti-inflammatory response, immune system, appetite, mood, stress, anxiety, and sleep. When the body is not in Homeostasis it is not at 100% and may experience increased stress, irritability, soreness, aches and trouble sleeping.

More About The ECS…
There are two main endocannabinoid receptors involved with the ECS: CB1 and CB2 receptors. These receptors are the neural pathways through which the ECS maintains and regulates bodily responses. CB1 receptors are mostly found in the central nervous system and CB2 receptors are found in your peripheral nervous system, especially immune cells. Cannabinoids that enter the body bind to these receptors to start working. For example, cannabinoids may bind to a CB2 receptor when the body signals that it’s experiencing inflammation, a common sign of autoimmune disorders like arthritis, and helps the body to reduce the inflammation.
